Servings: 3 – 4 (Depending upon the size of serving dish)
Cooking Time: 15 minutes except refrigerating time
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream / fresh cream
- 1/2 cup mango pulp/ puree for mousse
- 1/2 cup mango puree for serving (optional)
- 2 tbsp mango diced in small cubes for garnishing (optional)
- Few mint leaves for garnishing (optional)
Take chilled heavy whipping cream in a deep bowl. For best results keep empty bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes before starting the preparation. Then add heavy cream to the chilled bowl.
Then whip the cream with an electric beater till soft peaks form. It takes around 5-7 minutes. Cream will become very fluffy and airy. Do not over beat it.
Now take 1/2 cup mango puree and add it to the whipped cream.
Gently mix in the mango puree with the whipped cream. Do not over mix it. Our delicious mango mousse is ready. I have not added any sugar in it as mango was quite sweet so if you want to add sugar, feel free to add powdered sugar while beating the cream. Adjust sugar according to taste.
You can now refrigerate it for at least an hour and then serve it as it is or with little mango pieces or go little fancy as described below. It taste equally good in all the ways.
Take any serving dish of your choice, I have used small plastic cups. In this much ingredients I was able to get 4 small cups. If you want to make more or less quantity of mousse then just double or half the amount of ingredients.
For serving we will use rest of the 1/2 cup mango pulp/ puree. Spoon 2 tbsp of mango puree in each of your serving dish and then spoon mango mousse equally into each dish. Refrigerate it for at least an hour and then while serving garnish it with some mango cubes and a mint leaf. Refer to the picture given above.

You can make mango puree at home easily. Just peel a riped mango and chop it into big chunks. Take it in a blender jar and blend it to a smooth paste. Try not to add any water while making the puree for mousse other wise mousse will get watery.
