Cooking Time: 50 minutes
- 1 tin Crushed pineapple in 100% pineapple juice (1 tin is of 20 ounce or approx 550 grams)
- White Cake Mix (Can also use yellow cake mix)
- 1 stick of unsalted butter i.e. 1/2 cup
- 1 tsp pineapple essence (optional)
- 2 tbsp tutti fruity (optional)
This is a super simple cake recipe which requires only 3 ingredients i.e. a tin of crushed pineapple, cake mix and a stick of butter. Get all the ingredients together and chop butter into small cubes as shown in the second picture above.
Take 9*13 aluminium pan ( for any dump cake we choose a little wide pan so that the cake mix is spread into thin layer and it gets cooked properly) and add crushed pineapple along with the juice completely. Spread it evenly. Now you can add a tsp of pineapple essence in the pineapple and mix it nicely. It is completely optional.
Now open the cake mix and spread it evenly above the layer of pineapple.
Now arrange the butter cubes evenly all over the surface of the cake mix. You can also melt the butter and spread it evenly all over the cake mix. That is it. Dump cake is ready to be baked.
I have added a little tutti fruity on the top just for fun and color. It is completely optional, you can skip it. If you want, you can also add chopped nut. Pre heat oven at 180 degrees celsius or 350 degrees fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
Now bake the cake for 40 – 45 minutes, until cake is slightly golden and pineapples are bubbling. Cool it for 10-15 minutes and serve it warm with a big scoop of ice cream. It taste best when served warm.
This cake is super delicious and perfect for all the summer parties. It requires only 3 ingredients which literally needs to be dumped in a pan and pop it in the oven and here you have scrumptious pineapple dump cake. This desert is perfect for the potlucks where we have to serve large number of people and when we don’t have time for any fancy deserts. Do try this out friends and please let me know how you like it. Enjoy !!
