Cooking Time: 15 minutes
- 1 cup greek yogurt (chilled) (plain yogurt) (hung curd)
- 1/2 cup grapes halved (green or black any can be used)
- 1/2 cup apple diced into small cubes
- 1/2 cup strawberry chopped into small chunks
- 1 tbsp sugar (if you want more sweet add more)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp granola/ finely chopped nuts of your choice like almonds,cashew,pistachio,walnuts etc
Take a bowl and add yogurt,sugar and vanilla extract in it.Mix it nicely so that sugar and vanilla is well incorporated in the yogurt.Our vanilla yogurt is ready for the parfait.
Now take a glass or any dish of your choice in which you want to serve this and at the bottom add some of the chopped strawberries then add a layer of vanilla yogurt,then again layer it with some chopped apples.Sprinkle some granola or nuts on top of the apples and then layer it with some vanilla yogurt.
Now add the layer of grapes. Add 3-4 pieces of strawberry on top and only 2-3 tbsp of yogurt on sides and little bit on top.Finally sprinkle granola or nuts on top and our fruity yogurt parfait is ready to be served. Like this layer another cup of parfait. It taste best when the yogurt is chilled.
You can layer the parfait in what ever manner you like and can add any fruit of your choice like banana,pineapple,mangoes,raspberry, blueberry etc. You can also add some tutti fruity cherries to give it a extra cute look.
You can use store bought vanilla yogurt as well and make this parfait in no time.It is a very quick snack or a desert item which can be prepared in a jiff. It is healthy too.You can also replace it with low fat yogurt and add honey instead of sugar. It is a very good breakfast item as well as it is rich in protein and vitamins.
