Aamras

Servings: 2

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 big mango/ 1 cup mango chopped roughly into cubes
  • 2 tbsp sugar (adjust it according to taste)
  • 1 cup milk

Procedure:

Take chopped mango in a blender jar and add sugar in it ( I have added very less sugar as mango was very sweet, you can adjust the sugar according to your taste.  Always taste the mango first before adding sugar). Now blend it to a smooth puree using little water as required.

Take out the mango puree in a deep bowl. If you want you can sieve this puree, I have used it as it is.

Now add chilled milk in it and mix nicely. Super delicious aamras is ready to be enjoyed. You can always adjust the quantity of milk according to the consistency of your liking. If you are using whole milk then you can also add little water to adjust the consistency. I have not used water as I like my aamras to be little thick. Aamras taste best when it is chilled so use chilled milk if you want to consume it immediately otherwise you can refrigerate it for some time and enjoy it chilled.
