Bhindi ki Sabji(Okra Dry)

  • 250 gms bhindi (Okra)
  • 4 tbsp refined oil
  • 1 tsp jeera seeds
  • salt according to taste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder (dhaniya)
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder (amchur)


Step 1: Wash and dry bhindi nicely and then chop them in medium sized cubes.

Step 2: Heat oil in kadhai and when oil is hot enough then add jeera, when jeera seeds starts crackling then add chopped bhindi and then stir it nicely.

Step 3: Now add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder and amchur powder.Stir it nicely and cover it with a lid and cook for about 5 minutes.

Step 4: Check after 5minutes if bhindi has not cooked then again cover it and cook it for another 5 minutes.When bhindi is soft this means it is done.Serve with chapati or rice and Enjoy !!
