Thecha (Garlic Chutney)

Servings: 1 Small bowl

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dry red chillies
  • 7-8 cloves of garlic (if cloves are small then take around 10-11)
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp oil

Procedure:

Step 1: Remove stem from dry red chillies and soak them in warm water for about 2-3 hours.

Step 2: Peel and wash garlic. Combine soaked red chillies, garlic and the water in which chillies were added in a blender and blend it in a smooth paste.

Step 3: Then add salt, sugar and lime juice to the paste and mix well.

Step 4: Heat oil in a kadhai and when oil is hot enough add this paste and stir it nicely.Keep stirring it occasionally so that it do not stick to the bottom of the kadhai. The chutney will start leaving oil after about 10-12 minutes. When it starts leaving oil then it means it is ready.

Your Thecha is ready to be served as needed. Enjoy!
