Servings: 1 Small bowl
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
- 2 big size tomatoes ( if tomato are of medium size then take 3 tomatoes)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp jeera
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder ( Haldi)
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 5-6 tbsp sugar
Step 1: Chop the tomatoes in medium sized cubes.Take oil in kadhai and when oil is hot enough then add jeera seeds.
Step 2: When jeera seeds starts crackling then add tomatoes, saute it for about a minute and then add salt,turmeric powder and chilli powder.
Step 3: Keep stirring the chutney and after 5-7 minutes you will see tomatoes will start breaking down and have a little liquidy texture. Now add sugar and mix well. Simmer the chutney for about 5 minutes and tangy tomato chutney is ready to be enjoyed !!
