Today I am posting recipe for instant eggless chocolate nutella cake for two. I have a big chocolaty tooth. I often crave for chocolate cake specially after my dinner and at such hour this recipe is all I need to satisfy my chocolate cravings. This cake is ultra delicious and super moist. It is a very easy and healthy recipe as whole wheat flour has been used and just mix it in a bowl, pop it in the microwave and here you have a chocolate cake in no time at all. This recipe is also best for those families which have 2 or 3 members and big batches of any dish result in lots of leftovers. After a long hectic day, instant chocolate cake is perfect to end the day with a sweet note for all the couples. This recipes gives 2 small cakes and if you want to try only 1 cake then just half the whole recipe. So friends do try this recipe and please let me know how you like it.
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp brown sugar (you can also use normal sugar)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tbsp oil (vegetable, peanut, sunflower any can be used)
- 2 tbsp nutella chocolate hazelnut spread (optional)
- Butter or oil to grease the ramkins
- Little confectioners sugar for topping the cake (powdered sugar) (optional)
Take whole wheat flour in a bowl and add brown sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in it.
Mix all the ingredients nicely.
Now add milk and oil to the dry ingredients and stir the batter nicely so that there is no lumps in it. It will take a minute or so.
I have used ramekins, but you can use any microwave safe bowls or even coffee mugs can be used. Grease the ramekins nicely with butter or oil and pour the batter in it.
Add a dollop of nutella chocolate hazelnut spread on top of the batter, no need to push it in the center. Now microwave it for 90 seconds. My microwave is of 700 watts and for me 90 seconds worked well. Baking time will vary a few minutes with every microwave. Check the cake by inserting a knife in the center and if it come out clean then it means it is done otherwise bake it for few more minutes. You can also bake this cake in oven. Pre heat oven for 5 minutes at 350 degrees fahrenhite or 180 degrees celsius and bake it for 10 to 15 minutes or till knife comes out cleans. This cake can also be baked in pressure cooker. Let the cake cool down in the ramekins for 5 minutes and then take it out on a plate and top it with some confectioners sugar. You can also serve this warm cake with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream , topped with chocolate sauce and some nuts of your choice. Delicious chocolate cake is ready in no time at all. You can also add chocolate chips or cherries or nuts in the batter and customize it as per your liking.
