Cooking Time: 25 minutes
- 4 slice white bread/wheat bread/any bread of your choice
- 1 medium sized red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup onion thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp green chutney
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese grated/2 slices of mozzarella cheese/fresh mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 3-4 tbsp butter
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper to taste
- few basil leaves (optional)
Step 1: First of all roast the bell pepper on gas or in the oven (like we do brinjal for bharta).Peel of the skin and slice the bell peppers.
Step 2: Now lay two slices of bread on a clean surface,spread green chutney on both the slices evenly.Place roasted bell pepper on each slice of bread (Half bell pepper on each slice)
Step 3: Top with thinly sliced onion.Sprinkle salt and pepper.Again top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.Spread few basil leaves on top of it and then sandwich with another two slices of bread.
Step 4: Spread butter nicely on one side of each of the sandwich.Preheat the sandwich griller or simple griller and place the sandwich up side down so that the buttered side is down and then spread butter on the other side of the sandwich which is on top now.Grill the sandwich for about 5 minutes or until it is golden brown and crisp.Like this grill the other sandwich.Delicious sandwich is ready to be relished.Serve with tomato ketchup or any sauce of your choice.Enjoy !!
If you do not have red bell pepper,you can also make this sandwich with green bell pepper(capsicum) and instead of griller this sandwich can also be made on tava/non stick pan. Nothing should stop you from enjoying this yummy sandwich.
