Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour (maida)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (Hershey’s or Nestle or any)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup lowfat yogurt/curd (Dahi)
- 2/3 cup skim milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar for sifting above the muffins (optional)
Procedure:
Step 1: Pre heat oven to 400 degree fahrenheit or 180 degree celsius. Line muffin cups with paper bake cups. First of all we will sieve all the dry ingredients together. In a deep bowl sieve all purpose flour,cocoa powder,baking powder,baking soda and salt together and keep aside.
Step 2: In another bowl stir in together yogurt,milk and vanilla extract and mix nicely.Now add sugar and mix well so that the sugar combines with all the wet ingredients.
Step 3: Now mix the dry ingredients which you have sieved in step 1 with the wet ingredients and stir well.Do not beat.Mix until all the dry ingredients are moistened and well mixed with wet ingredients.
Step 4: Fill the muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.Cool slightly.Remove from pans to wire racks.Sift powdered sugar over tops of muffins,if desired.Serve warm.Enjoy !!
