Parmesan Garlic Fries

Servings: 2

Cooking Time: 30 minutes


  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chilly flakes
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • salt according to taste
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Oil for frying potatoes
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese


Step 1: Peel the potatoes and cut into little thick Julienne.

Step 2: Put all the chopped potatoes in boiling water and boil it for around 5-7 minutes.

Step 3: Then strain the potatoes and put them over kitchen towel so that the extra water is absorbed by the towel.

Step 4: Heat the Oil nicely and then fry the potatoes till they are golden brown in color.Keep the gas in medium heat so that the potatoes will come out crisp.If you will cook on high flame then it will cook fast but the potatoes will not be crisp.

Step 5: Once they are golden brown then take them out and put it on a tissue paper to absorb the extra oil.

Step 6: Now grate the garlic with the help of Grater.

Step 7: Melt the butter and add grated garlic,salt,pepper,oregano and chilly flakes in it. Mix the mixture nicely.

Step 8: Now mix this butter mixture with the fries and add parmesan cheese. Toss nicely and you are all set to enjoy !!

Handy Tip:

You can also use garlic olive oil instead of butter and garlic.Use 1 tbsp of garlic olive oil.

How to prepare garlic olive oil : Take half cup of Olive Oil in a pan and add 2 cloves of garlic chopped into big chunks.Bring oil to boil and then simmer it for 5 minutes and then remove it from the heat.When the oil is cooled down then store it in glass jar and put in refrigerator.This oil can be used over a period of time in cooking various dishes.
