Hello Friends,
Today I am sharing recipe for Nectarine Salsa which is a very simple recipe yet very delicious. It is super quick and easy. This is a fun way to eat your fruit with a tangy and spicy twist.
I am also posting this recipe as part of our A to Z Challenge and this months we have to choose the ingredient with alphabet N and immediately what came in my mind was Nectarine. I just love nectarine, it has a sweet and sour flavor. It so loudly speaks of summer and nothing better than nectarine salsa with a bag of chips in any summer party.
A to Z challenge, a challenge initiated on Facebook Group, wherein a group of bloggers come together and we choose key ingredients alphabetically to cook and post a dish every alternate month. This challenge was initiated by Jolly Makkar and I was introduced to this by my friend Vidya Narayan . We choose key ingredients alphabetically to cook and post a dish every alternate month.
This is my 7th dish in the A to Z challenge series, the last three were Broccoli and Tofu Stir Fry , Cauliflower Tawa Kebab , Nutty Dates Roll , Aloo Baigan , Almond Honey Cookies and Salad on a stick with creamy mayo dressing. Hope you all will like it.
Serving: a small bowl
Cooking Time: 15 min
Ingredients:
- 2 Nectarines pitted and diced into small cubes
- 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 1 green chilli finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp coriander finely chopped
- Juice of half lime
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder (optional)
- 1 tsp olive oil
Procedure:
In a bowl combine together chopped nectarines, onion, green chillies, coriander and give it a good mix. Now add rest of the ingredient lime juice, salt, pepper, red chilli powder and olive oil. Toss all the ingredients gently so that everything is nicely incorporated. Keep it in refrigerated for at least half an hour for all the flavors to mix together.
Super yummy Nectarine Salsa is ready to be enjoyed in no time at all. Its a perfect appetizer to start your party with. Just skip all the chilli part and it will be just perfect for the kids too. You can top this salsa on a cracker and kids will love to eat it with their favorite cracker. You can also customize it as per your liking. It is good in refrigerator for 2 days.
So friends please try out this and let me know how you like it. Enjoy !!
