Hello friends,
Today I am posting a recipe for Wheat Flour Panjiri. It is super easy to make. This is a desert which is usually made as prasad (offering) for God Satyanarayana on Purnima. There are other varieties of panjiri as well like besan panjiri, dhaniya panjiri.I will soon post recipe for these as well.Friends try this recipe and let me know how you like it.
Servings: 2
Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp ghee (Clarified butter)
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar (you can add more if you want more sweet)
- 1 tbsp almond flakes/4-5 almonds finely chopped
Procedure:
Take a deep kadhai/pan and add ghee (clarified butter) to it.
When ghee is medium hot then add wheat flour in it and stir nicely.
Mix the ghee and flour nicely and keep roasting it.Keep the heat on medium flame.
Stir the flour continuously for even roasting. When the flour starts turning little brownish then it means that flour has been roasted nicely. It will look as the picture given above.
When the flour has been roasted nicely then take it out on a plate and let it cool completely. The flour should be completely cooled before we proceed further.
When the roasted flour has completely cooled, then add sugar in it and mix nicely so that the sugar is evenly mixed in the flour.
Now add chopped almonds in it and mix nicely.Wheat flour panjiri is ready to be served.Keep this in an air tight container. It is good for about a weak.Do try this recipe and enjoy this easy desert with your friends and family and let me know how you like it.Enjoy !!
