- 1 cup all purpose flour (maida)
- 1/4 cup and 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp all purpose flour for rolling
Step 1: Combine all purpose flour,butter,sugar,carom seeds.cumin seeds ans salt in a deep blow and knead to a soft dough using milk.
Step 2: Cover the dough and keep it for around 25-30 minutes.Now sprinkle dry flour on a clean board or surface and roll the dough into a sheet of around 1/2 inch thickness.
Step 3: Then with the help of round cookie cutter,bowl or lid of any container cut the roll sheet into round cookies.If while cutting the cookies,cookies are sticking to the cutter then dip the cutter in dry flour then cut it,cookies will not stick.Like this prepare all the cookies.
Step 4: Place them all the grased baking tray.There should be some distance between each cookie and they will need space for rising while baking. Pre heat the oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit/180 degrees centigrade and then bake the cookies for 10 minutes.Check after 10 minutes if cookies are not so brown from above then bake them again for 2 minutes. Take them out and let it cool.Then store them in air tight container and enjoy with your coffee or tea. Enjoy !!
